It has been all over the news lately that 160,000 new Android Linux phones are being activated every day. If that pace continues, it means that about 58.4 Android phones will be sold in one year, which would make Linux phones the hottest selling handheld computers on the market! Click on the Read More button to find out what this means for consumers of desktop computers.
The word is convergence. That's the word that describes how telephones will merge with netbook computers, and then full size notebook computers, and finally desktop computers. Computers are how humans connect. Who do you want controlling the devices that you use to connect with your friends? Do you really want a control freak like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates telling you that you have to purchase an iPhone or a Microsoft Windows computer to hook up with friends or organize your photographs? Isn't it better to have competition? That what Linux brings to phones and computers: more choice for you.
